For this purpose a reliable and cost-effective setup with a short cycling time is presented. This setup features a direct determination of the PDE via a histogram of the pulse heights, a calibration of the light source and the possibility to compare different SiPM detectors at one measurement. It is comparably easy to build up with standard equipment.
