The project focuses on the impact of the transformation in Arab countries since 2011 (Arab uprisings) on the social, political, legal, cultural, religious and economic status of Christians and Christian churches in the Middle East. These current developments (conflict/upheaval) are set in relation to broader and more historic regional trends (inclusion/exclusion) as well as broader global developments (individual religious subjectivities / collective role of churches).
